Michaele S. Thorn, 71 of New Oxford passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Brethren Home Community. She was the wife of the late Harry Roland Thorn.
She was born September 2, 1942 in New York, NY the daughter of the late Frederick M. and Catherine (Hanley) Smith.
Mrs. Thorn was an executive secretary in the insurance industry and had a great love for animals.
She is survived by her daughter Cathy Saylor and her husband Bob, Littlestown and grandchildren Daniel and Casey Saylor both of Littlestown.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11 AM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover with Rev. Linda S. Titzell officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Family and friends will meet at Garden of Faith Memorial Gardens, 5598 Trumps Mill Road, Baltimore, MD at 2 PM for the burial.
