Lillian Frances Cucuzza, 78, of Palestine, Texas died May 8, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Interment was at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler. Lillian was born March 3, 1930, in Detroit, Mich., to Edward H. and Hazel R. Thomson. She remained in Michigan until her move to Palestine in 1981. Lillian worked as an auditor in the Palestine area until her retirement in 1995. She attended Evangelistic Temple. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Anthony S. Cucuzza, Palestine; five daughters and spouses, Linda L. Juarez (Carlos) of Jones, Mich., Catherine F. Clark (Kevin) of Palestine, Carolyn M. Bleech (Curtis) of Bath, Mich., Elizabeth A. McDaniel (Randy) of Lake Conroe, and Brenda L. Most (Vernon) of Gainesville, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Gordon Brown of Manton, Mich.; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Sally Thomson of Mesick, Mich.; grandchildren, Jacob Wegener, Gwydion Snowdon, Melinda Juarez, Jestin and Curtis Clark, Rachel and Allison McDaniel, Emily, Hannah, Collin and Joshua Bleech, Christina, Kaula and Asa Most; and great-granddaughter, Kahlie Snowdon. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jodie Marie Nesbitt; and special brother-in-law, whom she loved and cared for, Joseph F. Cucuzza. Memories of Lilllian will be of undying love for her best friend, companion and spouse, of selfless devotion and care so dear that it reached beyond her own children to any who needed such motherly love, of a grandmother excited to share experiences and stories, of dancing, of laughter, and of song, of inspiration to those who knew her well, and of adoration for family and friends.
