STEWART, Catherine Elizabeth - 89, Cowan Street, Westville, occurred on Wednesday, March 14, 2001, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Carrie (Ross) Thompson. Mrs. Stewart was a member of St. Paul's United Church, Westville, the Bertha Unit and the Crystal Fountain Rebekah Lodge. She and her husband Wesley operated Stewart's Grocery on Cowan Street for many years. She spent her life loving and caring for her family. She is survived by daughters, Patsy (Graham) Carson, New Glasgow; Olivia (James) Cameron, Hazel Glen; son, Tom (Joyce), Westville. Mrs. Stewart is also survived by grandchildren, Earl (Karen) Carson, Westville; Betty (Michael) Sears, Dartmouth; Douglas (Cathy) Cameron, Scotsburn; Colleen (Mike) Richard, Dawson Creek, B.C.; Alex (Gina) Cameron, Hazel Glen; Carrie Stewart and Luke Stewart, Westville; great-grandchildren, Gordon, Blair, Aaron and Jeremy Cameron, Kyle and Cameron Sears, Brandon and Tyler Cameron, Nicholas Richard and Karlee Carson; sisters, Annie Halliday, Port Colburn, Ont.; Alice (Ian) MacKenzie, Mill Brook; brother, Robert Thompson, Westville; sisters-in-law, Vivian Thompson, Stellarton; Annie Thompson, Stellarton, Margery Thompson, Kingston, Ont. She was predeceased by her husband, Wesley and infant daughter, Laureen; brothers, Arthur Leonard (Alma), Warren, Ross, George and Harold Thompson and brother-in-law, William Halliday.Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-5, 7-9 p.m. in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. Paul United Church, Westville with Rev. Scott Hillier officiating. Spring burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Family flowers
