Mrs Louis Anstenson died Sunday morning on the road to La Crosse while being conveyed to a hospital.
Mrs Anstenson suffered a severe attack of gallstones Saturday. Her condition became more aggravated and Sunday morning an ambulance came from La Crosse to take her to the hospital. Before Holmen was reached the patient died and the ambulance turned about and returned to Galesville.
When Mrs Anstenson was placed in the ambulance she was in excellent spirits and her pain had subsided. With her in the ambulance were a nurse and her husband. Dr George Christianson followed the ambulance with a car. Mrs Anstenson conversed with her husband and the nurse on the way and was quite cheerful. Suddenly she did not respond. Her physician was at once at her side, but he found no pulse and a few minutes later the last spark of life went out.

Other relatives of Mrs Anstenson are her parents, five sisters, Mrs R L Klandrud, Mrs Harry Eng, Mrs Emery Terpening, Misses Eva and Verna Thompson. There is one brother, Alfred, residing at Malta, Montana.
