Elsie V. Anderson, 89, Poskin, Wis., died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Barron Medical Center Extended Care. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Wednesday from Rausch-Rockman Funeral Home, Barron, and an hour prior to services at the church Thursday.
She was born May 23, 1914, in the Town of Clinton, Barron County, daughter of Thomas and Sophie (Hoff) Thompson. She grew up in the area and attended Garfield Country School.
She married Elmer Anderson on June 17, 1939, at Poskin who died in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gertrude Thompson.
She enjoyed flowers very much. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of ALCW and Poskin Lutheran Church. She was also a member of First Lutheran Church, Barron, and a 50-year member of the Homemakers Club.
Surviving are sons, Allen (DeAnn) of Poskin, Thomas (Marlys) of North Branch, Minn., and James of St. Paul, Minn.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Thelma Klinkhammer of Comstock, Helen Wohlk of Almena and Viola Miller of Barron.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 11, from First Lutheran Church, Barron, Rev. Karen Johnson officiating, with burial at Poskin Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Clinton.
