Emma R. Baldwin, one of five children of Andrew and Emma
Thompson, was born April 15, 1906, in Superior and died
March 9 at the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital
at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 22 days.
June 9,1932, she was united in marriage to Merlin Baldwin in Lincoln.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Superior, where she has been a member since March 28,1937. A Member of the Superior Rebekah Lodge, No. 70, she served as a past noble grand; a Member of the Superior Olive Chapter, No. 63, Order of Eastern Star, she served as a past worthy matron and was guardian council secretary for the Jobs Daughters for eight years. She held a state office for the National Federation of Postal Clerks Auxiliary and was a member of the Superior American Legion Auxiliary.
Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant son, Dean Leland, three brothers, David Thompson, Mons (sic) Thompson
and Albert Thompson and one sister, Mabel Pence.
Those left to mourn her are her husband, Merlin, a number
of nieces and nephews and many friends.
Services were Wednesday,March 11, at 2 p.m., from the
Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marion Knoell
officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
