Fred "Jimmy" Thompson, Sr., 76, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Thursday, February 6, 2014 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Dr. Kelly Pritchett officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson was a native of Pulaski County, Ga. and a member of the Baptist faith. He retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and the Georgia Department of Corrections. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Thompson; parents, Fred and Alma Thompson and a sister, Marlene Pettis.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
