He was employed at Robins Air Force Base in Federal Civil Service Management and was an active member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Bessie F. Thompson, grandson, Chadd Thompson, and three brothers, Emmett, Rudolph, and Bobby.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Clara L. Thompson, Warner Robins; son, Steven C. Thompson, and spouse, Lori, Warner Robins; daughter, Cindee A.
