In later years, she married, but the marriage was dispersed.
In 1968, she began working for the Petroleum Club. After 19 years of service, she retired in March of 1987.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, one son, one daughter, and two grandsons.
She leaves to mourn, three sisters, Acylean Folks of Tulsa; Helen Betts of Chicago, Illinois; and Geneva Johnson of Wichita, Kansas. Four sons, Charles of Kansas City, Missouri; Maurice of Spiro, Oklahoma; Julius and Elston, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Andre also of Tulsa, Oklahoma; twenty-two grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
