Reflections of Her Life
Archie J. Thompson Clark entered into rest on Thursday, May 8, 2008. She was a native Oklahoman born to the parentage of Archie Thompson and Georgia Murrell. She was the second of six daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son and two daughters; five sisters most recently Inola Singleton in Michigan on March 29, 2008.
She attended Murrell Valley School in Wagoner County, Oklahoma. Archie united in holy matrimony with Tommie Lee Clark in 1934. To this union three daughters and one son were born.
She enjoyed spending time with her devoted family and friends. Sister Archie Clark was a faithful member of St. Andrew Baptist Church where she gave her time, talent and treasure. She was an active member of Sunday School Class #44. Her health began to fail in November of 2007. After being admitted to St. John Medical Center on February 1, 2008, her major goal was to regain her strength, momentum and energy to return to her Sunday School Class and make up the lessons she missed. Those classes will be taught in a better place. She was a member of the Rose of Sharon Circle of the Women's Missionary Society.
She was gainfully employed as a Hat Check Coordinator with The Tulsa Club for many years. Archie was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.
She leaves to cherish her memories and continue her legacy her daughter Tommie C. Jones of Tulsa, OK; granddaughters Natalie Bankston of Dayton, OH and Kimberly Jones of Columbus, OH; and two great grandsons Anthony Jones and Kyle Bankston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other loved ones.
