Donna Grinols, age 64, of Janesville, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with lung cancer Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.

Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Landkamer-Johnson-Boman Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Danville Cemetery, rural Mapleton.

Donna Mae Grinols was born to Glen and Delores (Nemitz) Thompson on February 23, 1948 in Mankato. Settling in Janesville, she enjoyed small town life. She had so many great friends there and loved the convenience of being able to walk to the drug store and grocery store. She enjoyed walking her dog, Rudy when the weather was nice. She was a big Elvis fan, animal lover, and an amazing mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Tina (Joel) Albrecht of Mankato; two sisters, Brenda (Larry) Edwards of Mankato, Pat (Larry) Warnemunde of St. James; nieces April (Jason) and Leah of Mankato and their children, Zander, Annabelle, and Maddy; ex-husband, Mark Grinols.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Alonzo and Ronald, her parents, and brother, Jerry.
