Jeffie Thompson, 80, of Batesville, Ark., died June 9, 2008, at the Rolling Hills Nursing Center in Batesville. She was born Jan. 5, 1928, at Cushman, Ark., the daughter of Luther W. and Cora (Needham) Wolford.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: one son, Marty Thompson of Southside; three brothers, Willie Wolford of Bethalto, Ill., J.P. Wolford of Greenbrier and A.J. Wolford of Batesville; one sister, Mary Lou Snodgrass of Mims, Fla.; four grandchildren, Tonya White of Charleston, S.C., Brandy Adkins of Jonesboro, Steven Thompson of Batesville and J.R. Baker of Southside; four great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held June 11 at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel of Batesville, Ark., with Bro. Troy Sharp officiating.

Burial followed in the Lewis Cemetery located at Mount Pleasant with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.

Pallbearers were Steven Thompson, J.R. Baker, Michael Wolford, Robert Davis, Richard Hopper and Jay Goddard.
