CLIFFORD GRAYDON THOMPSON, 63, of Seneca, died at 5:17 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2002, in UPMC Northwest, Franklin. Born March 16, 1938, at Blairs Corners, Clarion County, he was a son of Robert Franklin and Elsie E. Hartman Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a graduate of Clarion Limestone High School and attended Williamsport Technical Institute. He had worked at Knox Glass, Joy Manufacturing, Talon Zipper, Struthers Wells and last at Lezzer Lumber. He retired in 1999. Mr. Thompson was a member of Cranberry United Methodist Church. He also belonged to Clarion Lodge No. 277, F. & A.M., Venango Lodge of Perfection and the New Castle Consistory. Mr. Thompson enjoyed hunting, camping, machinist work, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty J. Thompson and Sylvia K. Wheeler. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Kosarek, pastor of the Cranberry United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Church Hill Cemetery in Sligo. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
