Myra A. Beasley, 93, of Crossville, passed away March 26, 2001. Funeral services were conducted March 30 from the chapel of Burris Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bro. Noble Wright officiated, with special music by the Homestead Church of Christ Singers.
Mrs. Beasley was born Jan. 1, 1908, in Rocky River, TN, the daughter of John and Calista Payne Thomison.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Homestead Church of Christ. She was an original Homesteader.
Survivors include her sons, Tony Beasley of Nashville, TN, and Kenneth Beasley of Sarasota, FL; son-in-law, Tate Welch of Crossville; sister, Pearl Boyd of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Mike Welch, Donna Hughes, Rhonda Potter, Alvin Beasley, Alice Hanson, Eric Beasley, Greg Beasley and Alansa Bishop; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Beasley; and daughter, Yvonne Welch.
Pallbearers were Mike Welch, Chad Welch, Allen Beasley, Eric Beasley, David Potter, Jessie Hughes and Matt Roberts.
Burris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
