Lena J. Mills "Janette", age 74 of Valparaiso, IN passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016. She was born on July 28, 1941 in Smithland, KY to Augustus & Flossie (Marrs) Thomason.
Janette is survived by her mother, Flossie Thomason of Valparaiso; her loving husband, James D. Mills of Valparaiso, IN; her sons, James W. Mills (Christina) and Jason C. Mills both of Chesterton, IN; sister-in-law, Nancy (Gary) Beavers of Chesterton, IN; nieces and nephews, Dawn Lee "Sunny" (Santiago) Vaca, Debbie Palmer, Greg Palmer and Darren Beavers; many great nieces and nephews and her special grandson, Christopher James Mills. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Nora Ella.
Janette and her husband James owned several businesses together over the years in the Valparaiso area, including Fireside Specialties and Midwest Clean Air. Janette was a great woman of faith and enjoyed making people happy. Above everything she loved her family and adored her grandson.
