On February 15, 2011, our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend returned to her Heavenly home. She was born in Weiser, Idaho on April 16, 1946 to Geneva Mabel Kendall and Harry Raymond Thomas.
She grew up on a farm where she learned the value of hard work which she later taught to her children. She had 7 brothers and 5 sisters. She graduated from Weiser High School where she enjoyed performing in the marching band.
She married her eternal companion, Clee Pearson on June 10, 1964 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they had 9 children and raised several foster children. They lived in Idaho, Montana and Utah where they made many lifelong friends along the way.
Janice had many talents. She was an excellent cook, seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She provided childcare for many children and took care of the elderly and less fortunate. Her grandchildren's lives were greatly blessed by her loving care. She loved to serve others. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings throughout her lifetime.
She is survived by her husband, Clee Pearson Sr.; son, Clee Jr. (Peggy) Pearson; daughters, Kim (Glen) Porter, Tonya (Daniel) Walder, April Aiken (Wayne), Toni (Laren) George, Julianna (Clint) Silvester; son, Shane (Margaret) Pearson; daughter-in-law, Desiree Pearson; 25 grandchildren and several foster children. She is also survived by her mother, Geneva; mother–in-law Ezma; brothers, Wayne (Barbara), Larry (Kathy), Frank (Brenda), Randy (LeAnna), Kevin (Annette), Rex (Marie); sisters, Charlotte, Mary Ann, Linda (Bob), Karla and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
She was welcomed on the other side by her son, Blaine; daughter, Rebecca; son-in-law, Bobby Aiken; father, Harry; father-in-law, Eldon; brother, Freddie; sister, Nancy Iola; sister-in-laws, Viola Thomas and Sandy Pearson; brother-in-law, Val Barfuss; her grandparents and many others.
She is finally free of her pain and able to walk, run and see clearly again. Although our hearts are broken, we know we will be reunited again. We love you!
