Hazel Olivia THOMAS FEATHERINGILL, 93, of Sullivan, formerly of Bartlesville, Okla. went to heaven at 7:05 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, in the Sullivan Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be held in the Stumpff Funeral Home, 1600 S.E. Washington Blvd. in Bartlesville, OK 74006-4932. McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan is in charge of local arrangements.
Hazel was born Sept. 23, 1908 in Guthrie, Okla., the daughter of Martin and Dora DUNCAN THOMAS, the eighth of nine children all of whom have preceded her in death. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church, the garden club, artist guild, American Red Cross blood drives and was employed with Tom Ward Florist and Colonial Pharmacy and Gifts until she retired in 1973. She was active also in numerous bridge clubs in Bartlesville where she moved in 1939. She married Walter H. FEATHERINGILL Sept. 25, 1931 in Arkansas City, Kan., and he died in 1961.
She moved to Sullivan in 1998 to be near her son Barry and wife Judy ENGLAND FEATHERINGILL. Hazel loved flowers, cooking and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her son, Barry FEATHERINGILL and wife Judy of Sullivan and dear friends, Odie McREYNOLDS of Bartlesville and Carroll SEBENS of Sullivan.
She will be laid to rest by her beloved husband and friend Walter at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville.
