DAVID L. THOMAS
David L. Thomas, 66, of Fairfield, Alaska, who with his wife, arrived in Gladstone about three weeks ago to visit his sister, Mrs. Servia Blount and with other relatives of Clackamas County, died Friday morning.

Mr. Thomas, born in Wales, March 5, 1875, made his home in Beavercreek before going to Alaska to engage in mining often visiting Gladstone, after residing in the north, and it was on one of these trips he was stricken.

Surviving are the widow, Bernadette Thomas, at the present time at Gladstone; his sisters, Mrs. Frank Mosher, Oak Grove; three brothers, Gwilliam Thomas, Fairbanks; Abel Thomas, Sitka, Alaska; Abraham Thomas, McMinnville, former residents of Beavercreek, besides several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Holman and Hankins Chapel. Internment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Funeral services for David L. Thomas, of Fairbanks,
Alaska, former resident of Beavercreek, who died suddenly Friday while visiting his sister, Mrs. Servia Blount of Gladstone, were held Monday afternoon at the Holman and Hankins Chapel. By request of the family, George Hankins, friend of the family, conducted the service. Soloist was Homer Hollowell, singing "Hear My Prayer" and "The Plains of Peace." Mrs. Wilbur S. Warren was accomnpanist. Vault internment was in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers were R.F. Davis, Fred Croissant, William Daniels, Tom Lewis, W.M. Davis and L. C. Porter.
