Blaine Lee Thomas Sr., 46 passed away peacefully October 4, 2009, at the home of his father Rev. Benjamin Thomas, with his wife, Lisa and mother ,Rev. Doris Thomas at his bedside.
Born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL he has been a resident of Toledo since 1984.
He attended Solomon Temple Baptist Church.
Affectionately known as "Goldy" Blaine loved music, wrote many rap songs and produced several CD's.
He is survived by wife, Elizabeth "Lisa" Ayala; daughter, Dawnte Thomas; sons, Darrick and Blaine Thomas Jr.; step children, Pasha Young, Floyd Russell Jr.; father, Rev. Benjamin (Rev. Doris) Thomas; mother, Willie Mae Thomas; brothers, Benny (Pamela) Thomas of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Bryan Thomas, Frank (Deonca) Gray, Nathan (Kim) Gray, sisters, Jeannette Polk of Georgia, Linda Lee, Lawanda Tyree, Fannie Gray; sister-in-law, Edna Ray of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and Carmen Ford and Kimberly Thompson for there special care given to Blaine.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel. Wake service 10a.m. Saturday followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. at Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. John W. Williams pastor, Pastor Clayborn Arnett officiant, Rev. Benjamin Thomas Eulogist. Burial Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. www.dalefh.com
