Funeral services were held August 19 in the Emerson Ward chapel in Salt Lake City for Mrs Mary Louise Johnson Thiriot.
Injuries in a fall from a horse proved fatal to the 24-year-old mother while vacationing in Baker, Idaho. She died in a Salmon, Idaho hospital.
Arthur Manwaring of Salt Lake, formerly of Vernal was a speaker at the services and made reference to the time when he taught Mrs. Thiriot in the Vernal Central School.
Attending from Vernal were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Winder and Joan and Kenny, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Busch and Diane, Nita and Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Winder and Will and Dorothy, Homer Robertson and Ann and Jeanine, Mrs. Rex Winder and Annie Dudley.
Survivors of Mrs. Thiriot are her husband, Donald G. Thiriot, a son, Blaine Donald, 16 months; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred B. Johnson, and three brothers, Burtron, Edwin and David, all of Salt Lake City.
