Death Claimed Carl Thielke, aged 84, at his home Monday afternoon, after being ill for the past three months.
Mr. Thielke was born in the town of Schleswig, on the Thielke homestead farm, January 9, 1860. His parents were Carl and Sophia Mueller Thielke.
Mr. Thielke took as his life mate Miss Bertha Figge Klemme of the town of Plymouth on January 11, 1885. After their marriage the couple resided on the Thielke homestead for 35 years. In November 1919, they moved to their home at 919 North Sixth Street, this city.
He is survived by an adopted daughter, Mrs. Emma Milkert, who resided with him; one brother, Frank F. Thielke of Louis Corners and one sister, Mrs. Henry Klemme of this city. His wife preceded him in death September 16, 1941.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home and at Trinity Lutheran Church in this city, with the Rev. Harold O. Grunwald officiating. Burial will be made in the Kiel cemetery.
