TOLEDO -- Cynthia Lee "Cindy" Thede, 51, of rural Toledo, died at home of cancer, on Friday, February 18. She was born on April 20, 1953, in Toledo, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy Faust Wilson.

She married Mike Thede at the Fairview United Methodist Church.

Cindy graduated from South Tama Schools in 1971. She worked for various nursing homes in the Tama, Toledo, and Marshalltown areas before her marriage. She was later employed at the Department of Human Services in Tama for 20 years.

Survivors include her husband; daughter Gwendy (Todd) Babberl of Des Moines; two grandchildren; her father and stepmother, Frank and Ave Wilson of Iowa City; her mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Aaron Huseboe of Tama; a brother, Skip (Chris) Wilson of Toledo; and two sisters, Stevie (David) Johnson of Lake Havaus, Arizona, and Rosie (Jerry) Sprague of Waterloo.

Services at Christ United Methodist Church Worship Center, Toledo. Burial in Turner Cemetery, rural Garwin.

Henderson-Overton Funeral Home in Toledo handled arrangements.
