Husband of Abigail (Goulding) Thayer. Married: August 18, 1773. Pastor of the Church in Paxton, Mass. His political affinities did not agree with those of the staunch freedom-loving people of Paxton.
He was dismissed on account of his strong Loyalist opinions on August 14, 1782.
He moved to Holliston, MA after his dismissial where he lived his final days as a private citizen.
