Frazar, Josephine Estep (Thatcher)
O let us to the Savior fly,
Whose arms alone can save;
Then shall our hopes ascend on high,
And triumph O'er the grave...
Entered into Rest from her residence below Eagle Lake, on the 6th day of February, 1890. Mrs. Josephine Estep Frazar, daughter of Mr. John Thatcher, in the 23rd year of her age. Three years since she was led to the altar, and left it a blooming bride. A few short years and we consign her body to the grave, and her pure spirit has returned to God who gave it. How true it is that "In the midst of life we are in death."
She had before her marriage been received into full communion of the Holy Catholic Church (Episcopal) and by obedience thereto, and in the full faith that her allegiance to her blessed Savior was to her salvation, she resigned herself and all her concerns into the hands of her heavenly Father, believing that He doeth all things well. Her remains were interred in the family burial ground [Montgomery-Thatcher Cemetery] and the last rites performed by the Rector of the Church of the Heavenly, Eagle Lake.
