BURLINGTON — Thelma G. Gelineau, 85, died in Fletcher Allen Health Care on Oct. 19, 2006.

She was born in Williston on Feb. 28, 1921, daughter of Frank and Georgianna (Paquette) Tetreault.

Thelma was a longtime member of St. Joseph Parish and the Mother's Club. She married Robert L. Gelineau on Aug. 18, 1947, in Sacred Heart Church, New Bedford, Mass.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Robert of Burlington; her children, Leon Gelineau of Cambridge, Pamela Ann Gelineau of Eden, John Louis Gelineau of Buxton, Maine, Paul Gelineau of Burlington, Lisa Marie Gelineau of Thomaston, Conn., Lorie Smith and her husband, David of Johnson; her sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Ronald Richard of Hinesburg; a brother and his wife, Gilbert and Corinne Tetrault of Acushnet, Mass.; brother-in-law, Bishop Emeritus Louis Gelineau of Providence, R.I.; grandchildren, David, Jason, Jeremy, and Georgina.

She was predeceased by her grandson Christopher Gelineau; two sisters and their spouses, Cecile and Albert Cyr and Loretta and Leo Boucher.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral with interment to follow in New Mount Calvary Cemetery.
