Lorene A. Barclay, 83, Goodman, died at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at a Neosho Nursing Home, following a long illness.
Mrs. Barclay was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Manchester, Okla., and moved to the Erie area at the age of 10 and was a lifelong area resident of Erie and Goodman.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, crocheting and spending time with her family. She attended the Full Gospel Church in Goodman.
She and Jack Barclay were married on Jan. 22, 1935, at Pineville and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1993.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen Barclay and Ronald Barclay, both of Goodman; a daughter, Helen Weaver, Springfield, MO.; a half brother, Donald O'Dell, Corning, Calif.; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, Dannie Barclay on July 31, 2003.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Ken Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Howard Cemetery, Goodman. Pallbearers will be Billy Cox, Dale Wilson, Mark Hall, Scott Barnes, Bill Wilson and Rod Barclay. Loyd Wilson and Bob Wilson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
