Bodies of Ben Terry and Wife Recovered From Lake

The bodies of Ben Terry and wife who were drowned in a lake in Minnesota were recovered last Saturday and were prepared for burial and shipped to Jamesport. They were met at that place and the remains were taken to Scotland Cemetery where they were buried, says the Gallatin Democrat.
The accident happened while they were out boat riding, when a storm suddenly came up and their boat was overturned. A young man friend of Mr. Terry's was also drowned and a fourth was nearly drowned when went to their rescue in a canoe which capsized, and he barely escaped With his own life.
The accident happened on Monday of last week and the bodies were not recovered until Saturday. It was a very sad ending to their pleasure trip. To the relatives and friends were extend our sympathy.
Mr and Mrs Terry and their friend, Henry Meyernott, had left their home in Chicago and gone to Minnesota to spend their summer vacation among the lakes and forests, and the report says they were out in a small boat on a lake, and by some means the boat was capsized and all three were drowned.
Grand Marias is in Cook County, Minn, north of Lake Superior, and near the Canadian line. The Terrys were drowned in a small lake, like hundreds of others in that region, surrounding by very heavy forest. Mr and Mrs Terry were reared in this county, Mrs. Terry being a daughter of Mrs T.B. Jobe, of Jameson and Mr Terry a brother of Sherman Terry of Jamesport.
