ewel Gray Templeton Barker, 68, of Phillips Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Pastor Sam Harvey.

Mrs. Barker was born July 10, 1934, in Forsyth County to Jessie Martin Templeton and Agnes Swaim Templeton. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Amis Monroe Barker; a sister, Christine T. Barker; and a brother, Jessie A. Templeton.

Surviving are a daughter, Molly Potts and her husband, Ed, of the home; two grandchildren, Nathan Potts and his wife, Destiny, and Matthews Potts, all of Lexington; and a sister, Lafata Musgrave and her husband, Richard, of Southmont.

The family requests memorials be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103, or to the Life Center of Davidson County, 601 W. Center St., Lexington, N.C. 27292.

Piedmont Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
