She was born Feb 28, 1902, in Cole County, a daughter of Clark and Mecina Monroe Templeton. She was married Aug. 17, 1919, in Alder Springs, to Roy S. Atwell, who died May 6, 1971. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Miller County.
Survivors include: son, Howard Atwell; daughter, Geraldine Pendleton; brother, Edmond Templeton; sister, Evelyn Bernard; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by 4 children.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Don Maples and the Rev. Haskell Orrick will officiate.
Burial will be in Alder Springs Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday.
