A very sad occurrence took place at the station last Wednesday morning. Mrs. Liberty Slade, who had been in ill health for several months, was being taken to Long Cliff hospital in Logansport; and after she was seated in the passenger coach, she suddenly expired before the train started.
The body was taken off and removed to the home on North Street, Angola. On Thursday the remains were laid to rest in the Clear Lake Cemetery.
It was indeed a sad ending of a life.
