Macomb- Treva A. Alton, 80, of Macomb, passed away at 11:15 PM Friday July 1, 2011 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, IL. She was born December 8, 1930 in McDonough County, IL to Fred E. and Iva L. (Barnes) Teel. She married Frank E. Alton on October 19, 1989 in Galesburg, IL. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2000. She is survived by two daughters Marla (Richard) Harper of Colchester, IL and Cindy (Kenneth) Smith of Rushville, IL; one son Richard (Marilyn) Alton of Springfield, IL; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister Betty Jackson of Macomb, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son James E. Harding and two sisters. Treva was a member of the Colchester Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday July 7, 2011 at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Pastor Dennis Clements will officiate.
