Mrs. Dollie A. Moon, 73, of 339 North Arch St., died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, where she had been a patient since July 16.
She was born Sept. 21, 1891, in Springfield Township, a daughter of the late McClelland and Catherine Whetzel Tedrow, and had spent most of her life in Connellsville. She was a member of the Connellsville Women's Christian Temperance Union, the Gold Star Mothers, of which she had been chaplain since its organization, the First E. U. B. Church and the Win One Class.
Surviving are her husband, Fred R.; four sonds, Robert V. of Mesa, Ariz., Melvin T., James Edward and Norman W. of Connellsville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Tedrow of Charleroi, and four sisters, Mrs. Dessie Miller and Mrs. Stella Kregar of Connellsville, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Lauffer of Champion and Mrs. William (Verda) Hall of South Connellsville. She was preceded in death by a son, Earl C., missing in action in the Mediterranean sector during World War Two, three brothers, John, Norman and Harry Tedrow, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Showman.
The body will be at the Brooks funeral home after 7 p.m. today. The funeral service will be held there at 8 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Lester Crum officiating. There will be no viewing after the service. Internment will be in Normalville Cemetery.
The Gold Star Mothers will conduct a ritual at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
