Frances Johnson Tebeau, 85, entered into eternity to be with her Lord Jesus and her devoted Speedy and other loved ones, on Saturday, March 17, 2012. She was blessed with the care of Hospice Savannah. She was born January 21, 1927 in Canoochee, GA. She was the last of the 12 children of Henry J. and Ruth Sherrod Johnson. She was preceded in death by her 2 brothers and 4 sisters whom always took care of each other. Growing up on the farm, the story goes, that when a daughter got married she was given a cow for her dowry, which was always a humorous story about Frances and her cow. Frances was married 42 years to Speedy Tebeau, who preceded her in death only 4 months ago. Theirs was a continuous love affair of which only few can compare. She spent her life devoted to her husband, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite joy was preparing home cooked meals for them and she was known for her hand made buttermilk biscuits. She was beautiful inside and out and her love reached out to all who knew her. She will be forever in our hearts. Frances was a member of Guyton United Methodist Church, the Irene Stewart Sunday School Class, she served on numerous church committees and was an honorary member of the UMW. Prior to her death, she was the fourth longest living member of Guyton United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children: J. Tommy Robinson, Charles B. Robinson, Joyce R. Brannen (Max), James E. Robinson, Judy R. Reiser (Ron Rodeffer), Bill Robinson (Merry W. Robinson); 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Jewell P. Tebeau and Sally M. Johnson; half-sister, Zellie Patrick; half brother, Patrick Johnson; her beloved puppy, Goldie; and numerous nieces and nephews, with special nieces Polly Stewart and Betty Howard. The wake will be held Monday, March 19, 2012 from 6 -8 and the funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Guyton United Methodist Church. Internment will be at the Tebeau Family Cemetery, where her body will be laid by her Speedy. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Guyton United Methodist, Beulah Project or to the Hospice House of Savannah. Riggs Funeral Home, Guyton, GA Savannah Morning News March 19, 2012
