Myrtle Ann Grus, 75, Leslie, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at her home, with her family present.
Mrs. Grus was born Feb. 21, 1937, in Florissant, the daughter of the late Alvin Tebeau and wife Myrtle, nee Gereau.
She was united in marriage to Leon Grus June 6, 1958, at the Presentation Catholic Church, Overland. The couple made their home in the Union area.
Mrs. Grus was a co-owner of Grus Meat Processing, Beaufort, for several years and then owned and operated the Lost Valley Lake Restaurant before going to work for St. John's Mercy Hospital in Washington for 15 years. She then retired to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leon Grus Sr., on April 29, 2009, and one sister, Janet Clemens.
Mrs. Grus is survived by two sons, Curtis Grus and wife Cathie, Union, and Leon Grus Jr., Leslie; three daughters, Vicki Birke and husband Carl, Beaufort, Christine Grus and Jean Howell and husband John, all of Leslie; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Schwab, Wentzville; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
