Algernon Sidney Tebbs, 58, died October 7, 1939 at the Fitzsimons Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. He was laid to rest on October 10, 1939 at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

He was born to James H. and Ellen Mary (Voris) Tebbs in Silver Cliff, Colorado on July 11, 1881.

Algernon married Kathryn E. Hughes on February 6, 1922 in Boulder, Colorado. They had two children; Mary Jane and George Sidney.

When he was 16 he enlisted in the army to serve during the Spanish American War. He was assigned as a guard of the mint in Havana Cuba.

He served in the World War in a civilian capacity as fire inspector of powder plants in Virginia. After the war he served with the U. S. Bureau of Roads.

His siblings were Maude Emelyn or Emma Tebbs, born 9 Nov 1883 in Denver, Denver, Colorado and Julia Mae Tebbs born 15 Nov 1885 of, Silver Cliff, Custer, Colorado, she died 23 May in Denver, Denver, Colorado.
