MRS. JULIA TAYLOR

The angel of death that will sooner or later call each of us from our earthly home, called from amoung us one of our kindly neighbors and friends. Those that were well acquainted with her speak in the highest terms of her kind, lovable disposition.

Mrs. Julia Taylor departed this life, Saturday, at the home of Mrs. Bowers at age of 65.

She was an early settler having built up a home on a homestead near Alva.

Her husband preceeded her three years having gone to his reward in 1916.

Mrs. Taylor leaves six children; Albert and Vernie Taylor, Mrs. Minnis and Mrs. Simmons of Crook County and Irma and Emma of Oregon, to mourn the loss of the best friend on earth, mother.

At the time of her death three of her children were at her bedside; Albert, Vernie and Mrs. Minnis, the other being unable to attend.

Mrs. Taylor came to Sundance to be under the care of a physician as she was suffering from bronclutes which developed into pneumonia and caused her death.

The Monitor and her many friends extend to the bereaved ones sympathy and condolences in the saddest hour of life when 'mother' who pressed us to her loving breast in infancy, guided our tottering steps and pointed out, with solicitous care the snares and pit falls in early life and whose counsel in later years still guided us, folds her hands and peacefully lies down to rest.

OBITUARY

mrs. Julia Taylor of Alva passed away in Sundance on February 21, 1919, following a long-standing affection of the heart. She had Spanish influenza at her ranch home in the Bear Lodge mountains a short ago and was brought to town in the hope that she might more rapidly recuperate. However, there seemed no human help for the patient, although everything possible was done for her comfort and relief. The remains were interred in the Alva cemetery beside those of her husband, who was called th his reward two years ago.

Deceased was sixty-eight years of age at the time of her death and had resided in this part of the west for many years, raising a large and highly-respected family on the frontiers. She was a splendid neighbor, as evidenced by the high esteem in which she was held in her home community. A few years ago she and her husband were in the restaurant business in Sundance and made many friends by their fair and courteous treatment of patrons. Mrs. Taylor will be greatly missed by the family and by her personal friends.
