Elizabeth Vivian Beckett departed this life Feb 3, 2003 at Albert Einstein Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa.
She was born to the late Carson and Dorothy Taylor on Aug 17, 1924 in Norfolk, Va. At an early age she moved to Philadelphia where she attended public schools. She was jouined in holy matrimony with the late Leo Edward Beckett on Feb 3, 1941. They were blessed with four children, two of which preceded them in death.
She accepted Christ and joined Wayland Temple of Philadelphia. She later joined Mt Olive Holy Temple in Philadelphia where she served on the Senior Usher Board and sang with the Evening Light Chorus. She was a faithful member until her health started to fail.
She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted son, Joel Everett Beckett of Norristown, Pa; a loving daughter Marion H. Martin of Lake Ridge, Va; a caring daughter-in-law, Joan Scott-Beckett of Philadelphia; an attentive son-in-law, Thomas Martin, Lake Ridge, Va; six grandchidren and nine great grandchildren; two uncles, one aunt and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held to honor her on Fri, Feb 7, 2003 at 11am at Tunsil Funeral Home, Palmyra, NJ where family and friends may view form 9-11am. Interment BGWC Doyle Veteran's Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
