JULIA ETTA BELL
Julia Etta Bell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Taylor, and was born August 15, 1875, near Roodhouse, Ill., and died May 20, 1955, at the age of 79 years and 9 months.
She moved to Missouri when a young girl and was married to Thomas Ira Bell in DeKalb county, Missouri in 1890.
They came to Kansas in 1915, and have lived in Isabel and vicinity ever sense that time. To this union, 16 children were born 11 of whom are living.
Mr. and Mrs. Bell observed their 60th wedding anniversary January 10, 1951.
Mrs. Bell was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Coffeen, Ill., and always lived a true Christian life with a sincere love for her fellowmen. She will always be remembered by her relatives and friends for her loving kindness and unceasing patience
Mrs. Bell had lived at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Blackwell of Isabel since her husband's death.
She is survived by three sisters and three brothers; Henry Taylor, Manchester, Ill., Mrs. Ollie Adams, Roodhouse, Ill., Mrs. Lydia Trammel, Mt. Sterling, Ill; John Taylor and Sam Taylor and Mrs. Alma Dobbs, Roodhouse Ill.
Eleven children mourn her death; William P. Bell, Coffeen, Ill; Mrs. George Howard, Lincoln, Ill; Mrs. Frank Blackwell, Isabel, Kansas; Wesley Bell and Luther Bell, Kalvesta, Kansas; Mrs. Ralph Blackwell and Elmer Bell, Sawyer, Kansas; Mrs. Edgar Blackwell, Fontana, Calif.; Mrs. Lawrence Folkers, Kingburg, Calif.; Kenneth Bell, Reedley, Calif.; and Kimber Bell, Plainwell, Michigan. She leaves 30 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband T. I. Bell in October 1951, and five children - Edgar, Denzil and Viola in infancy, Fern Eva in 1935; and Mrs. Carl Whitman 1950
