Arlene Taylor Liptrot, 87, of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2010, at McKay-Dee Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born April 20, 1923, in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Warren L. and Reta Randall Taylor. She was the oldest of 4 siblings. On May 29, 1949, she married Raymond R. Liptrot. Together they had 3 daughters and 1 son (deceased).

She was reared and educated in Weber County.

Arlene was a member of the LDS church. She was an avid golfer, bowler, and bingo player. She served as a McKay-Dee Volunteer for 15 years. But most of all, Arlene was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family. Arlene enjoyed going for daily car rides with her husband, Ray. Each day of the week had a specific destination she looked forward to. She had a sweet tooth for chocolate, Idle Isles were her favorite.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond R. Liptrot, daughters, Linda (Perry) Willard, Kris Maloney, and Patti (Michael) Hart; sisters, Melba Lorance and Annette Feist; brother Ralph W. Taylor; grandchildren, Tyler (Carrie) Hall, Billy (Sarah) Hall, Christy Maloney, Amanda (Patrick) Weldon, Cody (Shannon Reed) Hall, and 10 great grandchildren.

Arlene was preceded in death by her infant son Jeffery Liptrot, grandson, Matthew Maloney, and son-in-law, Jack Hall.
