HAVANA, IL - Lucille Elisabeth Taylor, age 83, departed this life on June 17, 2011 due to complications following a fall April 17, 2011.

She was born on July 28, 1927 near Warsaw, IL, the middle daughter of Carl Adam Mitze and Elisabeth Fredricka Spitze.

She was a life-long member of Concordia Lutheran Church MS, Warsaw, IL, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, several other organizations within the church, and the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit #0682 of Warsaw. She also served as a Hancock County Elections Judge for many years.

She graduated from Warsaw High School, Class of 1945, and became a licensed cosmetologist, operating "The Corner Beauty Shop" until she retired in 2004. She was a resident of Warsaw all her life until 2006 when she went to visit friends in Havana, IL because of her health.

Lucille first married William Glen "Pete" Hutchcroft and they had one daughter. She later married Earl Dennis "Bub" Taylor.

She is survived by: one daughter: Karen "Dee" Hutchcroft of Havana, IL; one step-son: Denny and (Lil) Taylor of Warsaw, IL; four sisters: Esther McClure of Gibson City, IL., Charlotte Fiedler of Hamilton, IL., Ruth Hall of Quincy, IL., Betty Mohart of Gibson City, IL; and one brother: William and (Pat) Mitze of Monticello, IL.

Also remembering her are 12 nieces and nephews: Shirley (Don) Hord, Bill (Donna) Fiedler, Irwin "Bud" Mitze, Jr. And Joyce, Cheryl (Mike) Madsen, Marti Thruston, Marcia (Jack) Horn, Maureen (Doug) Wilcox, Mitzi (Ike) Eisenhart, Sara (Jerry) Mieczkowski, Stephen Mitze, Libby (Sam) Calderone, Jon (Abbe) Mitze; step-grandchildren: Kim (Craig) Ewing of Hamilton, Rick Taylor, and Charles and Lynn Hadsall of Wavana; 15 great-nieces and nephews, 3 step-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one brother, Irwin Mitze, and one step-grandson, Stefan Taylor.

Burial in the Lutheran Cemetery in Warsaw.
