Obituary: ERNEST TAYLOR-The funeral for Ernest L. Taylor, 55, 500 S. 14th, will be at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday in the Davis Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Ft. Leavenworth.
Mr. Taylor died Saturday in the Veterans administration Hospital. He had been in failing health several years. He was born July 2, 1922 in Atchison, the son of George T. L. and Minnie Anna Reichle Taylor.
He enlisted in the military service Oct. 15, 1946 at Ft. Benjamin Harrison and was discharged March 29, 1948, at Camp Stoneman, Calif.
He was retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital, where he worked as a nurses aid. He was a member of the Byron H. Mehl Post No. 23 of the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 55.
He was married to Ollie Royal Sept., 25, 1958 at Springfield, Mo. She survives at the home.
Other survivors include a brother, George Thomas Taylor, Phoenix, Ariz., two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Anna Ferguson, 720 Seneca, and Mrs. Rosalie Mae Davis, Shenandoah, Iowa, eight nieces and four nephews.
A sister, Mrs. Lura Mark, preceded him in death.
