Washington Terrace - Mrs. Rosetta Taylor Dow, 79, of 332 W 4800 S., died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 1985, at St. Benedict's Hospital of a heart condition.
She was born July 17, 1905, in Vernal, Utah, a daughter of Jesse and Ruth Ella Searle Taylor.
She married Walter John Dow on April 14, 1924, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He died Oct. 25, 1959.
She was reared and educated in Vernal and had lived in Salt Lake City before settling in Ogden.
She had worked as a presser and alterations lady for the Kraft Cleaners and later for Hoffman Cleaners.
She was a member of the Washington Terrace 7th LDS Ward. She was a member of the Relief Society and had been a Primary teacher.
Surviving are one son and two daughters, Floyd E. Dow, Elaine D. Taylor, and June Jones, all of Ogden, nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters, Horace Taylor and Leo Taylor, both of Ogden; Howard Taylor, Earp, Cali.; Mrs. Chester (Ardella) Hatch, Kaysville; Mrs. Everett (Iris) Johnson, Ogden.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Earl Hunsaker of the Washington Terrace 7th Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment in the Washington Heights Memorial Park.
