OGDEN - Byron Spencer Taylor, 77, died Wednesday, November 10, 1993 from an extended illness.
He was born May 11, 1916 in Ogden, a son of John D. and Bertha F. Murdock Taylor. He was reared and educated in Farr West, Utah.
On Nov. 21, 1942, he married Dorothy A. Hymas in Rexburn, Idaho. She died April 13, 1986.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Byron worked for Standard Plumbing and retired in 1981. He was a member of the LDS Church. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and bowling.
Survivors include two sons, Larin (Lola) Taylor, Wellington; Bruce (Beryl) Taylor, Taylor; three daughters, Sandra (Dennis) Hogge, West Jordan; Linna (Earl) Penman, West Weber; Gwenda (Henry) Szerszen, Ogden; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, John Seth Taylor, Farr West; Leroy Taylor, Jerry Taylor, both of Ogden; three sisters, Lucille Eichholz, California; Elva Jensen, Farr West; Eva Bullock, Washington Terrace. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street. Military honors will be accorded by the D.A.V. Honor Guard. Interment, Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
