Mrs. Grace Peer, 76, a former well known resident of Big Mound township died Dec. 21 at a South Bend, Ind. hospital.
The widow of the late William Peer, Mrs Peer had been in failing health for a number of years and paralyzed for quite some time after a stroke.
she had lived in South Bend for several years but a great part of her life was spent in Big Mound township.
The body will be at Dixon & Crippin Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral rites will at New Hope Church and burial in Koontz cemetery.
Grace, daughter of Mr and Mrs Hiram Taylor, was born in Big Mound Apr. 1, 1883.
She was a member of the New Hope General Baptist Church.
She was married to William Peer, with five children born to this union. Her husband passed away about 20 years ago and a son, Rollin, also preceded her in death.
Mrs Peer was a sister in law of the late Hiram Peer, barnhill man who died a year ago.
Surviving are one son Hiram of South Bend, three daughters Ruth of Indiana, Delphia of South Bend and Isabel of Missouri. a number of grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Addie Atkinson southwest of fairfield.
