LOPEZ, Janie of Rockdale. Age 80. Died 11/3/1989 (Friday) at her residence. Services held 11/6 (Monday) in Phillips & Luckey Chapel. Burial in Hernandez Cemetery, Cameron. Rev. Armando Virgin officiated at funeral and Buddy Oney officiated at prayer service on Sunday. Pallbearers were grandsons.

She was BORN 9/24/1908 in Buckholts to M/M. Charles Wesley (Susan Jane Moore) Taylor. Married Mercedes Lopez, Sr. in Cameron. Preceded in death by husband, Mercedes Lopez,Sr., on 2/12/1982, also by 7 brothers and sisters.

SURVIVORS: 5 sons, Jack Taylor of Waco, Don Lopez of Miami, FL., John D. Lopez of Bryan, Thomas Lopez of Rockdale and Charles Lopez, Sr. of Rockdale; 2 step-sons, George Lopez of Irving and Mercedes Lopez, Jr. of Bryan; 2 daughters, Zelma Jeter and Josie Cavazos, both of Rockdale; step-daughter, Emma Salas of Tyler; 39 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
