It is told that Lillie Mae was a school teacher at the time of her death. She was a lovely young woman with long black hair, who loved horses, and rode all the time. She could sit a horse better than any of the men in the community.

Her father owned 500 acres of property in Wheeler Springs, and she was known to be able to ride any horse in the community.

Lillie Mae never had any children.
