Mrs. Edna G. Peters, 79, Bendersville, widow of Robert D Peters, died this morning at o'clock in the Warner Hospita where she had been a patient for the last five weeks after suffering a broken hip. Her husband, who had been a plumber in Bendersville, died in 1947.
A native of Menallen Twp. she was a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Rosella (Cline) Taylor, and was a member of the Lutheran Church in Bendersville and of its Sunday School. She taught a Sunday School class for 25 years. She was also a member of the Bendersville Fire Company Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, Donald Peters, owner of a funeral home on Carlisle St. here, and two sisters: Mrs. Hilda Garretson, Aspers R. 1, and Roy Gulp, Orrtanna R. 1.
Private funeral services will b held Saturday morning from the Peters Funeral Home here with the Rev. Jerome V. Guss, pastor of the Bendersville Luthera Church, officiating.
Interment will be in the Bendersville Lutheran Cemetery.
