Earl was born in Harlan, Kentucky on April 3, 1921 a son of Joshua and Hattie Ayres Taylor and was the husband of Bonnie M. Bledsoe Taylor.
Earl was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army.
He was a member of the Clarksburg Church of God.
Earl was employed with the Montogomery County Board of Education as a wood refinisher, from which he retired.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Janice Dillman of Danridge, Tenn.,Sue Daniels of Quantico, Va., Larry and Gordan Taylor both of Ijamsville.
Earl is also survived by two brothers, Joshua Taylor Jr. of Jonesville, Va. and Silas Taylor of Whitesburg, Tenn.,two sisters, Lillie Mae Collins of Clyde, Ohio, and Della Smith of Dryden, Va., 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral held with the Rev's. Timothy Sersen and Willis Johnson of Clarksburg Church Of God officiating with internment at Mount Prospect Cemetery, Lewistown, Olin L. Molesworth, Damascus funeral directors.
Pallbearers for Earl were, Danny Freeman, Gilbert Shifflett, David Shifflette, Floyd Adams, Hayden Shraser and Edward Daniels.
