Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Taylor Rulfs, 82, of San Augustine, member of a prominent Texas family, are scheduled here Friday at Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. William Treat officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches.

Mrs. Rulfs, granddaughter of one of the signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence, Charles S. Taylor, died Wednesday at a Lufkin hospital.

She was the granddaughter of Dr. Robert A. Irion, Secretary of State for the Republic of Texas during President Sam Houston's first term.

Mrs. Rulfs was born in Nacogdoches in 1879 and was married there in 1907 to Dr. Carl H. Rulfs. She had lived in San Augustine 38 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Anna Kathryn Holbrook of San Augustine, and three sons, Carl Rulfs, Jr. of Joplin, Mo., Deitrich Rulfs and Lawrence D. Rulfs, both of San Augustine.

She was a member of the Episcopal church and was a charter member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
