McMinnville resident and Warren County native Foster Dillard Taylor, 82, died March 21 at his home after an extended illness.

A retired nurseryman with Fairview Nursery and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was the son of Lester and Maude Jones Taylor; and was preceded in death by sons, Buddy and Johnny Taylor; sister, Melba Rhea and granddaughter, Aleasha Butcher.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Powell Taylor; daughters and sons-in-law, June and Jessie McGee, Ann and Gene Milstead, Kathy and Dwight Pearsall, all of McMinnville; son, Bobby Taylor of McMinnville; brothers, Houston and L.A. Taylor of McMinnville; grandchildren, David and Tanya Milstead, Tracy Herrin, Jessica McGee, Denae Green and Benji Taylor; great-grandchild, Maelee Brooke McGee; step-grandchildren, Kevin and Brandon Pearsall and Angie Newman; step-great-grandchildren, Jeff Smartt, Ashley Redmond, Tenerra Fults, Clint and Emily Newman.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Smyrna Church of Christ with Johnny Clayton and Ron Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation begins at noon today and will begin again at 9 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. until time of service Sunday at High's.

High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
